Jessica Sanchez voted off in AI

My heart was broken upon learning that Jessica Sanchez was voted off at American Idol. What is this people! Is she not American enough? Or white enough or maybe black enough? Why can’t she win this show? I want her to win obviously. As declared by Randy Jackson, she is one of the best singers in America. The judges reaction was unexpected. J. Lo running off to the stage and grabbing the microphone from Jessica in the middle of her goodbye song, was really amazing. Not even letting her finish her song. Their one time save was meant for Jessica, they knew that America would vote her off. We can see that the judges believe in her talent but sadly they can’t save her next week.

Movies I missed on the year 2011

There were great blockbuster hits last year. There were big budgeted films and indie films so its either I have already rented it or downloaded it *toinks*. There were great hits and few misses but still movies are good movies no matter how bad it is. Even bad movies has cult following. I feel bad missing some movies last year and I don’t even know if they have good reviews or not, still there’s this guilty feeling of not watching them. To give justice to movies, I’ll try keeping up with the last years’ movie releases. Anyways, here’s my list of the movies I missed out in 2011.

I’ve been absent from wordpress for 3 months and god I missed you. I can proudly say that I’m a bum no more. Yet my job is keeping me away from blogging, everyday I stare at my windows 98 computer and miss all the technology I have at home. Sounds bad enough. Every effing day with slow internet connection and what do you get? Blocked sites. You techs at 7th floor make my life miserable. If that’s bad enough my 14 inch monitor makes everything worse. The hell it turns pink. Now would you love that! Thankfully the guy in 2nd floor makes my day a whole lot better.

Anne Curtis ang Mukha ng Maynila

Kahit saang parte ng Maynila makikita mo ang mukha ni Ms. Anne Curtis. Sa naglalakihang billboard, poster at tarpolin. Nagkalat ang kung anu-anong endorso ng mga produkto. Nakatapal ang mukha sa building, sa poste, sa tindahan, sa mall, sa palengke, sa likod ng bus, sa construction site at sa produkto mismo siya ang nag eendorse. Yung isa nakagown iba iba ang kulay depende sa lugar na tatayuan ng condo, yung isa naka swimsuit siya kasi seksi daw siya dahil dun sa iniinom niya, yung isa naka bionic woman o cosplay siguro Evangelion na anime pero para sa sim card ata, di ko alam koneksyon pero yun ang kasuotan niya, yung isa kakulay ng damit niya yung alak o cocktail na iniinom niya. Sa kahabaan ng EDSA masasaksihan mo ang mukha niya na nakapaskil merong seksi, merong mukhang bored, mukang hinihintay ang date sa Prom, yung isa parang nang aakit. Ayaw ko nang banggitin kung ano man ang inindorso niya mamaya sabihin nila na hate blog to, makasuhan pa ko. Sakit pa sa ulo. Sinasabi ko lang na nagkalat ang mukha ni Anne Curtis dito. Kahit na ganito ang estado ng advertising dito sa Maynila, sana di kayo magsawa sa kanya. Nandyan pa rin naman yung malaking mapangakit na mukha ni Ed Westwick para sa mga babaeng die hard fans ng Gossip Girl, at least may kumikiliti sa mga babae hindi lang sa mga lalake.

Habang naghihintay sa mahabang pila sa isang mall, naisipan kong bumili ng isang libro. Sa pag-iikot ko nakita ko ang isang pamilyar na pangalan, Eros Atalia. Dali-dali kong binasa ang likod nito, napangiti mag-isa ng malaman kong sa mura ng dalawang daan lang pala eh makakabili ka na ng isang nobelang pinoy. Kumpara sa mga Foreign books, ang pinoy ay madaling basahin at madaling magets. Medyo malalim ang salita pero makakalimutan mo rin. Makalipas ng kalahating araw at isan daang tao, nakalahati ko din ang libro. Sa haba ba naman ng pila eh hindi ko makakalahati? Yung isang katabi ko nakasagot na ata ng benteng Sudoku hindi pa rin kami natatawag. Malalim, mababaw, masaya, malaswa at malungkot ang librong ito. Hindi mo maiiwasang makaramdam ng simpatya sa bida. Bastos din ang mga bida kaya medyo Rated R ito. Yung tipong hindi pwedeng irekomenda sa magulang dahil  mababatukan ka lang sa laswa. Kung sa Porn, soft porn lang may laswa pero wala ka makikita. Bilib din ako sa may akda. Napanood ko siya minsan sa tv tumanggi siya nang pagbintangang siya daw si Bob Ong. Weh? Fan ako ni Atalia , pero parang parehas ang style nilang dalawa. Sa bagay style lang naman, hindi pa rin sila parehas. Nung nag aaral ako nakakasalubong ko si Sir, hindi ko siya kilala basta alam ko Prof siya ng Filipino. Sad to say, di ko siya naging titser, isang babae at isang bading ang nagpahirap sa aking at nagbigay ng Tres na grado. Napapaisip ako paano kaya kung siya naging Prof ko, feeling ko babagsak ako. Malamang hindi ko bibilhin ang mga libro niya dahil ayaw ko makadagdag sa pagiging best seller, malamang i-boboycott ko pa ito. Buti na lang hindi, at least naging fan niya ako nung grumadweyt ako ng kolehiyo. Nakadagdag pa ako sa sales niya at nakapatay ng oras habang naghihintay sa buwakan ng inang NBI clearance.

Watching K-dramas has always been a guilty pleasure ever since its advent in Philippine Television, Autumn in My Heart woke up my addiction to cheesy dramas. From watching television, collecting DVD’s and internet has always been there to support me. Intervention was not welcome in our house, my mom and her sisters and brother are also hooked to these dramas. They might as well join the club right? But I hardly favor melodramas, I love watching Rom-Coms because it is lighter with a hint of drama and a splash of laughter. The following list are the series that I watched over and over again. Boys Over Flowers: Sports Drama Weh?

Boys Over Flowers, K-drama based on a Japanese Manga Hana Yori Dango has been franchised by Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. It has been a joyride to watch these 4 uber rich guys who inevitably touched by the cute but poor girl, Geum Jan Di. These boys call themselves F4 or Flower Four, sounds gay but in real life they are sons of the mega rich whose businesses rule Korea and very manly. Unlike the other versions, F4 were given more personality and more talents, other than partying and bullying. Some episodes highlighted some sports never done by the other F4. Anyway this version showcased a lot of sports, what impresses me most it looks like the actors are a pro at any sport thrown at them. I may be wrong but watch the k-drama and judge for yourself. Lets revisit some of the sports they did in the series.
